Crimp Seal Selection Guide:
PTFE/Red Rubber -
Medium durometer red rubber with a .015” layer of clear PTFE. Great and economical for routine analysis. Not recommended for multiple injections.
PTFE/Silicone -
Pure Silicone laminated with .005” of PTFE. Recommended when multiple injections are required. Resist coring and excellent resealing qualities.
PTFE/Silicone/PTFE -
Medium durometer silicone with .003” silicone laminated on both sides. Great for trace analysis work. Resist coring and good resealing characteristics. Use with auto samplers with blunt tip syringes.
Viton® -
Recommended for chlorinated solvents. Excellent chemical resistance.
Polypropylene -
Not resealable. For one time use only. Easily penetrated by syringes and chemical resistant.
