Simon graduated from Loughborough University in 2002 with a BSc in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry; his first Chemistry job saw him move to Abingdon in 2004 where he worked at Evotec as a research chemist. After 2 years at Evotec, Simon moved to Southampton where he undertook his PhD in the field of natural product synthesis under the supervision of Prof David C. Harrowven.
In 2007, Simon went on to gain valuable experience as a synthetic organic chemist at Target Molecules, working on a variety of custom synthesis projects. Simon has now moved his career away from the laboratory and into a commercial role, where he hopes to use his extensive organic chemistry knowledge to develop strong working relationships with new and existing customers at GPE Scientific.
